With a Head Office and purpose built Technology Centre in Hexham, Northumberland, our core services include the design, build and testing of operational equipment for deployment in a hazardous environment. As part of our ongoing growth strategy, we are looking for an additional engineer to join our dynamic Test Engineering team. The role: Working as part of an agile team, you will support the delivery of challenging engineering projects across our three core services of engineering, consultancy equipment design and build, and testing services. The role will predominantly focused on delivery of test services and will be based in our in our RED Technology Centre. Working days are Monday to Friday at our office in Hexham. Duties will include: Development of bespoke test programmes to generate information to support R&D Development of test programmes to validate product specifications Generation of drawings and specifications for manufacture of test components Technical oversight of equipment manufacture in the supply chain Leading the assembly of equipment in the RED Technology Centre Technical oversight of the delivery of the bespoke test programmes Verification and analysis of the data captured during the tests Generation of detailed test reports Who we are looking for: W e are looking for applications with the following criteria: Essential: A qualification in Mechanical Engineering An experienced engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience - experience of completing R&D or Validation testing including: P reparation of test procedures Engineering and assembly of equipment to gather data to prove theories or specifications Set up of data acquisition systems Analysing data and reporting findings Attention to detail Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to delivery quality outputs on time Proficient in IT and engineering software packages Good planning, organisation and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing Ability to work effectively within teams and interface with technical clients Desirable: Experience of the offshore and/or nuclear industries Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices Knowledge of manufacturing processes (specifically including fabrication and machining) Experience of multidiscipline engineering (mechanical, electrical, control, hydraulic) What we will offer you: Varied and interesting work Training and development that focuses on both technical and behavioural skills The opportunity to be part of a high performing, talented and motivated team A happy and vibrant working environment in the heart of Northumberland with a u nique culture that supports mental and physical wellbeing including flexible working and daily lunchtime sports activities A competitive rewards package including annual discretionary bonus and company pension Generous holiday allowance Private healthcare EV / Cycle schemes Start date ASAP We are committed to encouraging further growth from diverse groups, and welcome applications from people of all abilities and currently under-represented groups.
