About the Role
Ready to lead engineering excellence at one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects? At EDF, shape the future of nuclear energy and help Britain achieve net zero.
Who You Are
* Collaborative, technically strong and solution‑oriented.
* Excellent communication skills – convey complex concepts clearly in writing and speech.
* Strong mechanical engineering knowledge – modal/static analysis, finite element simulations and CAD design/modelling.
* Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory compliance and nuclear project contexts (EPR or similar).
* Experience in technical coordination, piping support calculations (RSTAB/BEAM STRESS) and tools such as CALTUY/Pipestress.
* Knowledge of RCC‑M code (section C3650).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Perform detailed piping calculations and assess supports under load scenarios such as dead weight, thermal expansion and seismic activity.
* Oversee design changes, rework activities and mitigate open points to maintain project progress.
* Collaborate with design and delivery teams to ensure technical quality across disciplines.
* Resolve engineering issues pragmatically to keep the project moving forward.
* Ensure design outputs and modifications are delivered on time and in line with process requirements.
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a salary from £55,000, potential for an annual bonus and a market‑leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, maintenance engineering and competitive holiday entitlement.
