Salary: £70,000 - 86,000 per year Requirements: We require extensive experience in software engineering, preferably in platform or cloud-native service development, ideally using Microsoft and .NET technologies. We require strong expertise in RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management. We require proficiency in securing APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data privacy practices. We require hands-on experience architecting and deploying scalable cloud-native services using PaaS, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage complex, containerized AI workloads. We require excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and propose scalable solutions. We would prefer experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and an understanding of the trade-offs between performance, cost, and capability. We would prefer understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and tool calling. We would prefer familiarity with AI standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A). We would prefer familiarity with AI orchestration and agentic frameworks. We would prefer experience with tools for automated testing and evaluation of AI outputs. We would prefer knowledge of AI ethics and regulations, such as NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act, and a commitment to responsible AI development. We would prefer experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across global R&D locations.
