Michael Page are actively working with a long standing customer who are searching for a Head of Payroll to join their team on the outskirts of York on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a proactive Senior Payroll candidate that has a passion for both people management and continuous improvement.
Description
* Oversee and lead an established payroll function.
* Manage any system or process improvement.
* Strategic involvement and effective decision making that promotes continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement efficient payroll processes and procedures.
* Implement future benefits schemes
* Collaborate with the accounting and finance department on payroll-related activities.
* Handle payroll reporting, including tax filings and statutory requirements.
* Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries professionally.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory changes impacting payroll.
* Provide leadership and development opportunities for the payroll team.
Profile
A successful Head of Payroll should have:
* Proven experience in Head of Payroll, Senior Payroll or Payroll Manager position
* Strong knowledge of UK and Ireland Payroll Regulations
* Passion for continuous improvement and people management
* Proficiency in payroll software and relevant systems.
* Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
* Enjoys working in a fast paced working environment
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Job Offer
* Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000 per annum.
* Hybrid working (3 days onsite/2 days at home)
