You will work closely with clients’ finance, tax and IT engineers. You will be involved in the preparation of R&D claims and ensuring compliance with tax legislation. Within the Innovation team you will be exposed to cash grants and patent box applications. You will also have the opportunity to support business development opportunities.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside teams to efficiently prepare and successfully deliver R&D tax claims.
* Build and maintain client relationships, providing high levels of client service and taking a leading role in interactions with clients’ senior stakeholders.
* Build relationships both within the firm and externally, identifying opportunities, managing client team stakeholders, and liaising with other client-facing teams.
* Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing our existing client base and supporting business development activities.
Skills And Attributes for Success
* Experience as a wider Corporation Tax or R&D tax practitioner.
* Team player with the ability to integrate quickly with new teams.
* Outgoing with strong relationship skills and ability to deliver quality output.
* Strong technical skills with a keen desire to further develop.
* Ability to identify areas of risk, conduct effective reviews and know when to refer issues upward.
* Relationship management skills with the ability to manage client expectations and build effective relationships at all levels.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
* Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/ATT/CTA.
* Strong Excel capability including XLOOKUP, IF functions and pivot tables, and manipulating large and complex datasets.
* Strong writing, communication and project management skills.
