Position Overview
We're seeking a Brand and Marketing Director to drive demand generation for Circuit Managed Laundries, focusing primarily on the education sector and student customers. Circuit has a two-sided business model, so whilst you'll drive mainly B2C customer acquisition through data-driven campaigns and creative pricing strategies, the role will also support laundrette partner acquisition. This role requires strong analytical skills, student marketing expertise, and proven experience in consumer-focused digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead brand positioning and messaging that resonates with budget-conscious consumers
* Design promotional campaigns using A/B testing, cohort analysis, and performance optimization
* Establish KPIs, build analytics dashboards, and use data to drive strategic decisions
Digital Marketing & Analytics
* Oversee SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing with performance tracking
* Drive conversion optimization and user experience improvements
* Work with analysts to implement testing strategies and measure campaign effectiveness
* Manage marketing automation and customer journey optimization
* Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform marketing strategies
Campaign Execution
* Execute student-focused campaigns using market insights and performance data
* Develop pricing promotions based on competitive analysis and ROI assessment
* Create university partnerships and academic calendar-aligned initiatives
* Manage budgets and optimize spend based on campaign performance
* Build and lead a high-performing marketing team
* Establish clear goals, processes, and performance metrics
* Manage external agencies and vendor relationships
* Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous testing
Required Qualifications
Experience
* 8+ years marketing experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
* Proven B2C demand generation track record with price-sensitive demographics
* Experience in student marketing or youth-focused consumer segments
* Background in promotional pricing strategies and discount campaigns
Technical & Analytical Skills
* Strong understanding of marketing analytics and ability to interpret data insights
* Experience with A/B testing principles and performance measurement
* Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM systems
* Comfortable working with analytics platforms and data visualization tools
* Knowledge of experimental design and campaign optimization
Leadership Skills
* Demonstrated ability to use data insights to drive marketing strategies in price-sensitive markets
* Strong project management with experience in campaign testing, optimization and working at pace.
* Proven track record managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI
* Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders
* Ability to work collaboratively with analysts and data teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in student marketing or university partnerships
* Background in marketplace or platform businesses
* Customer lifetime value understanding and retention marketing experience
* Experience with pricing strategy and promotional campaigns
* A Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, communications, or a related field desirable
