Student Welfare & Safeguarding Advisor
Salary: £24,899 per annum (£14,939 pro rata actual)
Hours: 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (working pattern to be agreed)
Contract: Maternity Cover (1 year)
Location: Stamford College

Student Wellbeing is a key priority for the Inspire Education Group (Peterborough & Stamford College) supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their educational goals. Stamford College has an experienced Wellbeing & Safeguarding team who support learners of all ages across sites within the city.
We currently have a 1 year fixed term contract maternity cover, opportunity for a Student Wellbeing & Safeguarding Advisor to join the team. In this role you will work within the Student Services department, Safeguarding, Welfare and Engagement team, to Safeguard Students and provide mental health and well-being support to meet demand. You will work closely with internal departments, curriculum and external organisations to ensure that vulnerable students are afforded the same opportunities as other students.
The successful candidate will have a good level of education, experience of working with young people, providing support and dealing with Safeguarding concerns.
You will be a motivated, self-starter with the highest level of commitment to widening your knowledge of welfare/safeguarding legislation and issues. This is a learner support role and you will have exceptional communication skills both verbally and written, you will be pro-active, resourceful, and resilient with a flexible approach to working practices.
