Position Overview
Piramal Group is inviting applications for the position of Senior Manager - Legal, a full‑time opportunity based in Mumbai. This role is ideal for experienced legal professionals with strong expertise in corporate law, contract management, and compliance.
The position involves working closely with various internal teams to provide legal advice, draft and negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks. As a senior member of the legal team, the candidate will also be responsible for supervising junior team members, managing workflows, and supporting business operations with timely legal solutions.
Responsibilities
* Handle contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and partnership deals.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
* Collaborate with finance, HR, procurement, and other business divisions to address legal concerns and streamline processes.
* Mentor junior team members and manage legal workflows.
* Prepare MIS reports, update policies and SOPs, and advise on risk mitigation and compliance strategies to protect the organization's interests.
Qualifications and Experience
* Educational requirement: B.Com + LL.B. or 5‑year integrated BBA + LL.B. from a reputed institution.
* 6‑9 years of experience in a corporate legal environment.
* Strong expertise in contract review, negotiation, and compliance matters.
* Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of providing strategic legal advice to support business operations.
* Prior experience in managing legal teams, drafting high‑value agreements, and handling regulatory compliance.
