Reflecting on the most recent 3 decades, we have seen multiple individuals in this role with timelines of years of well-established consistency at Balbirnie House, then go on afterwards to become Executive Chefs in hotels such as Gleneagles, Turnberry, and Old Course St Andrews.
We are hoping to see a new Executive Chef join Balbirnie House similarly with a mutually hoped for scope, for years working in a very happy and productive role.
Opportunity to join a well established management team, with a superb underpinning infrastructure to support the role. Marketing is all in-house, very extensive across the spans of media, driven also by internal databases.
Whilst there are obviously some office-based administrative tasks, most of this role is operationally hands-on, leading and inspiring our kitchen brigade.
80% of Balbirnie's entire existing annual trade is banqueting, weddings, and special events. Future diaries as busy as we have ever seen.
The other 20% of trade is individual bedroom reservations, afternoon teas, and Orangery and public area dining. We hope that the successful applicant will bring a strong commercial perspective, seeking to enhance these aspects and maximise revenues in particular.
