Project Manager – Battery Energy Storage System

Embark on an exciting career journey with a leading Civil Engineering solutions company, seeking a dynamic Project Manager for a ground-breaking Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Keith. This is a permanent role with a project value exceeding £10 million, offering a unique chance to lead a significant initiative from design to completion.

Starting with design works in May and transitioning to on‑site activities in July, this role promises a rich and varied experience, extending until Q1‑Q2 2028. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to be based out of either the Inverness or Glasgow office during the early stages, with accommodation provided if staying away from home. For those local to the area, there is potential for continued work in the north, particularly from a hub further north.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project from design to completion.
• Manage project scope, schedule and budget exceeding £10 million.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across Inverness, Glasgow and the project site.
• Ensure timely transition from design to on‑site activities, starting in May and continuing through Q1‑Q2 2028.
• Provide regular status reports and maintain clear communication lines with project sponsors and team members.
• Apply project management software and methodologies effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience in project management, preferably within the energy sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects exceeding £10 million.
