This full-time position is available for an immediate start for a fixed term period until the end of February 2026. There is a possibility of extension subject to funding renewal.
The Post
It will be based in the Health Economics Group within the Department of Health & Community Sciences, part of HLS.
You will conduct project-related research focusing on economic and data analyses, working with multidisciplinary teams including information specialists, statisticians, health economists, and clinical experts to produce high-quality outputs under strict deadlines. Knowledge of critical appraisal and systematic reviews is desirable, along with a developing understanding of health economics fundamentals.
The University of Exeter is a member of the National Institute for Health Research School for Primary Care and Public Health Research. Although based in HLS, these schools are highly interdisciplinary, involving experts across all faculties and campuses.
Health Economics Group
The group, led by Professor Anne Spencer, conducts policy-relevant research and provides education to advance health economics' use in improving population health. Research areas include economic aspects of health and disease, healthcare delivery, health interventions, and wellbeing factors. The group collaborates closely with clinical trials units and applied methodologists.
About You
* Possess a relevant undergraduate or master's degree in economics, health economics, or a related quantitative health discipline.
* Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of research methods and techniques relevant to the group's projects.
