About the Role

A rare opportunity has emerged for an experienced and responsible Operations Manager to lead and evolve the operational function of our UK business. Based from our global head office, this is a strategic, process-driven role responsible for designing and implementing new workflows, optimising efficiency across Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service, and ensuring our UK operations run with consistency, accuracy, and scalability.

You will oversee a small, close-knit, on-site team while also leading in site management, inventory management, demand planning, ERP management, company compliance, and process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in these areas and can balance hands-on operational management with strong strategic thinking and systems-level improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operational Leadership

* Develop, implement, and refine operational processes that increase efficiency, consistency, and quality across the UK business.
* Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and system gaps, then design actionable solutions with measurable outcomes.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operations, logistics, customer service, stock management, and cross-team communication.
* Act as a key operational partner to senior leadership, contributing to long-term planning and organisational strategy.
* Create daily trackers and monthly performance reports on operational activity, progress, and trends.

Team Leadership & People Development

* Manage, motivate, and mentor a small operations team, setting clear priorities, KPIs, and performance expectations.
* Foster a supportive culture that also encourages accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Train team members on new processes, SOPs, and systems.

Inventory, Supply Chain, & Demand Planning

* Oversee UK stock management, inventory accuracy, supply forecasting, and replenishment.
* Review demand planning processes to improve alignment with sales patterns, seasonality, lead times, and production schedules.
* Ensure efficient stock movement, stock-taking, booking-in accuracy, and root-cause analysis for stock variances.
* Improve buying and purchase process for inventory and part procurement.
* Explore and activate additional 3PL support to support business needs.

ERP Systems, & Digital Process Ownership

* Act as a UK lead in a small team for the introduction of our new ERP system planned for 2026, including configuration, data accuracy, and workflow automation.
* Drive our new ERP project from an operational perspective, ensuring improved functionality and user adoption.
* Enhance integration between our new ERP (Dynamics), Shopify, CRM (Zoho, Hubspot etc.), and operational processes to streamline workloads and reduce manual tasks.
* Own ERP process templates, system rules, and data governance standards.

Cross-department Workflow Improvement

* Redesign processes that impact multiple teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Warehouse, and Production.
* Standardise workflows for customer enquiries, orders, logistics, product handling, and returns.
* Ensure that operational decisions support better customer experiences and smoother internal communication.

Compliance & Safety Reporting

* Ensure operational compliance with UK regulations including health & safety, WEEE, general safety in the workplace standards, and environmental obligations.
* Maintain and update company compliance and internal process manuals.
* Oversee operational reporting (stock, KPIs, supply forecasts, workflow performance).

About You

Essential Skills and Experience

* Proven experience in operations management, supply chain, or process-led leadership roles.
* Demonstrated ability to create and implement new processes that improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
* Strong experience with ERP systems (Microsoft 365 Dynamics preferred).
* Skilled in stock management, forecasting, demand planning, and inventory control.
* Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Experience dealing with different cultures and contacts in different time zones.
* Strong leadership qualities with experience managing small, multidisciplinary teams.
* Comfortable working across logistics, customer service, sales operations, and production support.
* Great team player and believer in the importance of culture in a business
* Music lover (although you do not need to be a player!)

Desirable

* Experience with Zoho or similar CRM platforms and support desk software.
* Familiarity with hardware, consumer electronics, or technical product environments.
* Knowledge of UK compliance (WEEE, safety regulations, product handling).
* Experience leading system upgrades or digital transformation projects.

What We Offer

* A strategic role with high autonomy and the opportunity to shape how the UK operation functions.
