Welding Trainer Location: Malton, North Yorkshire Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (higher considered depending on experience) Are you an experienced Welder or Fabricator looking to take the next step in your career? The role You will be responsible for delivering and supporting welding and fabrication training to apprentices, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required within the engineering sector. Working with learners on a day-release basis, you will support their development both in the training centre and in the workplace, ensuring they progress and achieve their qualifications. Key responsibilities include: Delivering practical and theory-based training sessions Supporting apprentices working towards welding and fabrication standards (including MIG, TIG and MMA processes) Monitoring learner progress and providing regular feedback Conducting reviews with learners and employers Supporting curriculum development and training resources Ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment About you We are keen to speak with candidates who: Have strong industry experience within welding/fabrication Have experience with a range of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, MMA) Are passionate about developing others and sharing their knowledge Have strong communication and organisational skills A teaching qualification or assessor award would be advantageous but is not essential, as full support and training can be provided What’s on offer Salary between £29,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) 9-day fortnight with two long weekends each month 26 days of annual leave plus an additional day for your birthday Support with gaining teaching and assessing qualifications Opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking team The chance to make a real impact on future engineers and apprentices About the training provider This is a long-established, not-for-profit training provider with a strong reputation across North Yorkshire, delivering high-quality engineering and apprenticeship programmes to local employers.
