We work in close partnership with mainstream and specialist settings to ensure pupils with additional needs receive consistent, skilled and compassionate teaching support.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND ASC Teacher to work within a specialist provision or SEND setting supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The successful candidate will deliver personalised learning, implement structured support strategies and create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASC
• Develop and implement individualised learning programmes aligned with EHCP targets
• Use structured teaching approaches and visual supports to enhance learning
• Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
• Implement positive behaviour support strategies consistently
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and parents/carers
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and reports
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and SEND policies at all times
Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches
• Knowledge of structured teaching methods (e.g. visual timetables, TEACCH approaches)
• Experience supporting pupils with sensory and communication needs
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
