Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Mid to Senior Level
Location: West London (Hybrid - onsite 1 day per week)
Start Date: Mid-May 2026
Contract Type: Contract
Rate: £400
We are seeking experienced Mid to Senior Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to support a high-profile client engagement. The role will focus on maintaining and enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of the client's GST platform, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, CDN technologies, and infrastructure as code.
Successful candidates will be expected to onboard in mid-May and begin delivering against live tickets by early June.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems
2. Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS)
3. Manage and optimise CDN solutions (Akamai and/or Fastly)
4. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Ansible
5. Monitor system performance and proactively identify improvements
6. Troubleshoot incidents and provide rapid resolution to production issues
7. Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to improve system resilience
8. Support continuous improvement of operational processes and automation
Required Skills & Experience
9. Proven experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role (mid-senior level)
10. Strong hands-on experience with AWS (core services, networking, scaling, etc.)
11. Experience working with CDN technologies, specifically Akamai and/or Fastly
12. Solid expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible
13. Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
14. Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
15. Ability to work in fast-paced, production-critical environments
Desirable Skills
16. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
17. Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
18. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
19. Previous experience supporting enterprise-scale platforms
