The overarching goal of the role
Oversee the organisation and coordinate business activities to ensure efficient and profitable execution of high-quality work.
Duties
* Manage day-to-day operations of the business.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to support business operations & teams.
* Ensure the teams consistently follow processes and procedures.
* Work with the leadership team to develop business strategy and objectives & deliver phased execution of these.
* Assist with the allocation of resources to help meet business and strategic goals.
* Oversee the financial performance of the company to ensure profitability is managed.
* Establish and manage budgets and forecasts.
* Help improve operational management systems, processes and best practices as required.
* Recruit, train and supervise staff.
* Ensure employees complete and work through their personal development plan in line with business goals to deliver high-performance and quality work.
* Manage ad-hoc employee requests and requirements.
* Ensure that organisational processes remain legally compliant with regulations and standards.
* Maintain and enforce health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
Knowledge and experience required
* Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role.
* Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management.
* Experience budgeting and forecasting.
* Familiarity with business and financial principles.
* Degree in Business, Operations Management or a related field.
Skills Required
* Outstanding organisational skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders - both internally & externally.
* Comfortable with driving compliance to process and managing conflict.
* Excellent communication skills via email, voice and in person.
* Excellent documentation skills - Able to clearly and concisely capture processes and l details for others to understand/use.
* Particular focus on ensuring that communications are efficient and effective to ensure that a clear message is delivered.
