We’re looking for a Software Architect to join a high-growth SaaS scale-up that’s investing heavily in the next evolution of its platform, particularly around AI, data architecture, and cloud delivery.
This business has already built a strong, established product in the resource management space. Now they’re entering the next phase, introducing new ways of accessing and structuring data, embedding AI more deeply, and modernising architectural patterns across the platform.
You’ll be stepping into a senior remit with influence, analysing existing systems against the roadmap, defining architectural direction, and implementing change within a mature .NET codebase operating in Azure.
A big part of the role is evolving established systems without disrupting delivery. This means breaking down architectural change into practical increments, improving how data is accessed and processed, and embedding security and privacy properly from the outset.
This is a great opportunity for:
* Architects who still enjoy being close to the code rather than sitting in pure governance.
* Senior .NET engineers ready to step into architectural ownership.
* Engineers confident operating across product, data and cloud conversations.
Individuals who want real influence in a scaling business.
Skills And Experience:
Strong backend experience with .NET (Framework and Core).
Experience working within Azure.
Azure SQL Server and broader database technologies.
Experience implementing architectural change within established systems.
Understanding of data and search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Lucene, NoSQL or MSSQL.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to have:
Experience with Azure Cognitive Search.
Exposure to modern data pipelines (Fabric or similar).
Experience working with AI-driven systems.
Salary: Up to £90k per annum.
Location: Edinburgh office for occasional meetings, however happy to consider candidates UK-wide.
If this sounds like the kind of role where you’d want real ownership and impact, please apply now.
