Job Description:
We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operative (Bagging) at our Crisp Malt, Great Ryburgh location.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Dry Goods Manager; The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively both in a team and independently, possess good communication skills, be responsible for their work area and production requirements, have good attention to detail, and work under pressure to meet process timings and quality standards. Experience in shift work within a production environment is preferred. FLT certification is not essential as training will be provided. Applicants must be physically fit due to manual operations. The role also involves supporting the site Hygiene team as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Comply with company policies and training.
* Maintain health and safety standards by following Safe Systems of Work, wearing PPE, and reporting hazards.
* Keep the workplace clean and safe to reduce hazards.
* Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Support other departments to meet operational needs.
* Report plant defects using CMMS.
* Assist engineering with repairs to minimize downtime.
* Conduct routine inspections of plant and equipment.
* Perform hygiene tasks to maintain standards.
* Operate FLT to move stock and load vehicles.
* Operate malt handling, bagging, and crushing equipment.
* Use site stock control and scanning systems.
* Complete production records and report issues.
