 
        
        Pre-Reg Trainee Pharmacy Technician (Fixed Term 2 Years)
Join the Pharmacy Department at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading to embark on a 2‑year fixed‑term training programme to qualify as a registered Pharmacy Technician.
Key Responsibilities
 * Support pharmacists in dispensing, medication preparation and inventory management under supervision.
 * Assist with patient counselling, medication reviews and health promotion activities.
 * Complete literacy, numeracy and pharmacy‑related coursework during the apprenticeship route.
 * Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
Qualifications and Requirements
 * Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including:
 * Mathematics (Level 2 functional skills acceptable).
 * English Language (Level 2 functional skills acceptable).
 * Science (specify Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
 * Optional: NVQ/BTEC Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or Pharmacy Services Assistant.
 * Strong motivation, enthusiasm, self‑motivation and compassion.
 * Will attend literacy and numeracy assessment.
Training & Development
 * Full support and training in all assessment areas through work‑based supervisors, mentors and online assessors.
 * Study time provision to complete the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.
 * Apprenticeship route through a licensed and GPhC accredited provider.
