About you:
* Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or part-qualified accountant
* At least 2 years' experience working within a finance department
* Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software
* Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
* Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities
* Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
What you'll do:
* Handle daily financial transactions including bank lodgements, receipts, and payments
* Process purchase invoices and supplier payments, reconcile statements
* Administer wages and HMRC online submissions
* Assist with month-end reconciliations and management accounts
* Maintain petty cash records and assist with VAT reconciliation
* Liaise with staff and suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
* Support year-end audits and prepare journal entries
* Provide cover for the Financial Controller when needed
