The Role
To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. Where appropriate, supervise clerical staff and provide support to line manager.
The working pattern for this role is Wednesday Afternoon & Thursday & Friday (9am - 5pm)
Base location - Carluke Health Centre, although can be asked to work anywhere within the Clydesdale Locality.
Responsibilities
* General reception duties including switchboard
* Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
* Day to day maintenance of departmental requirements to ensure the smooth running of the department
* Dealing with enquiries, either face-to-face or by telephone, from the general public, patients and external agencies
What You'll Bring
* Experience in an Administrative and Clerical role
* Educated to Higher Grade level
* Ability to supervise staff
* Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
