Overview

Our client, a well-established and respected law firm based in Cullompton, is seeking two experienced Legal Secretaries to join their growing team — one to support the Private Client department and the other to assist in Residential Property.


About the Roles

These are excellent opportunities for skilled Legal Secretaries looking to join a friendly, professional firm that values teamwork, client care, and attention to detail. Each role will involve providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations within the department.


Responsibilities

* Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
* Managing client files, correspondence, and documentation
* Liaising professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties
* Preparing legal documents, forms, and correspondence
* Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with firm procedures
* Delivering excellent client service at all times
* Undertaking general office duties and supporting the wider team as needed


Skills and Experience Required

The ideal candidates will demonstrate:

* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary (experience within Private Client or Residential Property is highly desirable)
* Strong secretarial and administrative skills with attention to detail
* Typing speed of 60+ words per minute with high accuracy
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Confidence in using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
* The ability to work effectively under pressure and to multiple deadlines
* A professional, motivated, and personable approach
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team


Desirable Experience

* Experience providing administrative support within a Private Client or Residential Property team
* Knowledge of legal processes, documentation, and client file management
