About the Role
We are recruiting an Internal Sales Consultant to join a well-established UK fire detection distributor that has been operating since 1991. The business supplies a wide range of high-quality fire detection products to the installer and wholesale markets and has built a strong reputation for technical knowledge, reliability and long-term customer relationships.
This is an office-based role in Fordingbridge, focused on supporting and growing relationships with fire and security installers. The position offers a 50/50 split between new business development and account management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both relationship-building and proactive sales activity.
The role is suitable for entry-level candidates looking to build a career in Fire & Security, as well as experienced internal sales professionals seeking a stable, long-term opportunity with progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and develop relationships with existing installer accounts
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within the installer and wholesale market
- Handle inbound and outbound sales activity via phone and email
- Promote a range of fire detection products, providing guidance and product recommendations
- Work closely with customers to understand requirements and provide timely quotations
- Support external sales activity by nurturing accounts and qualifying opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotations and sales activity
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, acting as a trusted internal point of contact
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in internal sales, account management or customer-facing roles (B2B preferred)
- Interest in fire safety, technical products or the Fire & Security sector
- Confident communicator with strong phone and email skills
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple accounts
- Ability to build long-term relationships with installers and trade customers
- Entry-level candidates with the right attitude and motivation are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of fire detection products is advantageous but not essential (training provided)
