The role
We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals who excel in craftsmanship, mechanics, and hands-on problem-solving to join our team as Rental Fleet Agent at our depot. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet of campervans is maintained at the highest standards, enabling our customers to embark on unforgettable journeys. As a Campervan Mechanic, you will be part of our Edinburgh team and work with the UKI & Nordics Regional Team. Your primary responsibility is to maintain our campervans available at all times and in the best possible condition, contributing to an efficient operation and customer satisfaction. What will you work on?
Reporting directly to the Local Leader, your primary responsibility will be executing all processes and procedures related to vehicle maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include:
* Conduct systematic inspections of vehicles and diagnose problems on mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems.
* Perform maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including:
* Preventive and corrective maintenance
* Light bodywork repairs involving spare parts replacement (e.g., bulbs, windows, side mirrors)
* Campervan spare parts substitution and repairs
* Campervan appliances troubleshooting and repairs
* Maintain and develop relationships with external partners
* Coordinate execution of vehicle interventions with external suppliers and regional teams
* Maintain all vehicle information systems updated according to established procedures
* Move campervans to and from local vendors, parking facilities or other depots
* Maintain depot equipment and spare parts organized and clean
* Maintain spare parts inventory systems updated at all times
* As part of the local team, participate in daily depot operations and related tasks, including:
* Preparation of vehicles and equipment for customers
* Assist with handling incoming reservations, welcoming guests, and managing check-ins and check-outs
* Receive and collect shipments and supplies, organize storage, and register item consumption and new orders
* Maintain depot equipment, extras and consumables stored at the depot
Who we are looking for
* Education or certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar automotive program
* At least 1+ yearsof hands-on mechanical and electrical repair experience (campervans a plus)
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
* Available to work weekends and holidays
* Valid Driver's License
* English proficiency and good communication skills
