Overview

Advanced Clinical Practitioner role at NHS Scotland, based at Ninewells in Dundee. The successful applicant will be a forward-thinking ACP with experience in a relevant specialty at a senior level, dedicated to delivering exemplary patient care and advancing the scope of practice.


Responsibilities

* Provide leadership for the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
* Deliver advanced clinical skills and decision making by assessing, diagnosing, planning and implementing evidenced-based care for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed unscheduled surgical needs.
* Support autonomous practice within a caring, responsive and collaborative team and organisation.


Qualifications/Experience

* Must have completed the Clinical Assessment Module (SCQF Level 11).
* Completed or actively working towards the Non-Medical Prescribing Module associated with the role.
* Evidence of continual professional development within an appropriate clinical setting is essential.
* Extensive experience in more than one specialty is desirable; experience at Band 6 level is essential.
* Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

* Hours of work: 37 hours (pro rata) based on a 12-hour shift pattern over seven days.
