Overall aim of the job:
West Court Retreat is seeking a warm, organised, and guest-focused Dining Host to be the first point of contact in our dining experience. This role is key to creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere while ensuring smooth dining room flow and exceptional hospitality.
Requirements:
Applicants must be 18 or over due to the requirement of selling alcohol.
Please note, West Court Retreat is not on a public transport route, so please consider necessary travel arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and seat guests warmly, managing reservations and wait times
* Maintain a serene, attentive dining environment aligned with retreat values
* Present menus, explain daily offerings, and support dietary requirements
* Coordinate guest flow with service, bar, and kitchen teams
* Keep dining areas clean, organised, and visually appealing
* Share guest feedback and support the team during busy services
Skills & Competencies:
* Previous hospitality or customer service experience essential
* Strong communication, organisation, and people skills
* Calm, professional, and attentive under pressure
* Detail-oriented with a guest-first mindset
* Familiarity with reservation systems and dietary considerations is an advantage
