Adult Speech and Language Therapist Band 7
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapy post in our Adult Service. This is a 37.5 hour per week role based in the Croydon Adult Out-Patient Speech and Language Therapy Service area. The successful candidate will join a supportive network of Speech and Language Therapists who work in the Community and Acute settings.
The post holder will work in a hospital base but may be required to work in the Community as needed, reflecting the Integrated care approach to our patients. We work closely with our therapy and medical colleagues.

Responsibilities
* Assess, develop, treat and discharge adult clients referred with communication and swallowing difficulties within the main Croydon University Hospital and Community Departments, particularly the Out-Patient Voice Team, at a Highly Specialist level.
* Work as a member of the Speech and Language Therapy team to provide an efficient, effective and coordinated service. There may be work within the Community Domiciliary Speech and Language Therapy Service required at times.
* Work primarily in an out-patient setting, with experience and knowledge in assessment, treatment and management of patients who have acquired communication and swallowing problems following neurological events.
* Be flexible to work in hospital and community settings as needed to support integrated care for patients.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience and knowledge in assessment, treatment and management of patients with acquired communication and swallowing problems following neurological events, working primarily in an out-patient setting.
* Ability to work across hospital and community settings and participate in integrated care with therapy and medical colleagues.
* Good communication and teamwork skills to contribute to an efficient, coordinated SLT service.
