Job Overview
Banner Box are looking for a Pre Press Artworker to join their well-established business in printing Large Format textiles, PVC and Rigid.
You will be responsible for all pre-press operations. This includes setting up proofs using clients artwork, print setting & colour matching to pantone swatches. As well as this, you will also offer help and support to the Sales Team, Print Team and Finishing Team.
Pre Press Artworkers are responsible for ensuring that jobs are set up correctly and in a timely manner. You will have a keen eye for detail.
You will also be required to keep your working environment clean and tidy.
Duties
* Helping the Studio and Print teams to work as effectively as possible.
* Managing information and general administration
* Generating proof sheets in accordance to Work Orders.
* Preparing files for printing
* Evaluating print and finishing decisions (as well as graphics).
* Setting jobs up for print whether it be internally or externally.
* Effective colour matching to relevant standards
* Design work in accordance with clients brief
* Professional use of our equipment.
* Liaising with customers via email and telephone.
* Helping out in other departments linked to Banner Box.
* Adherence to health and safety at all times
* Ensuring Quality Control
* Helping on the shop floor when needed including unloading and loading machines.
* Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Directors or other senior managers.
Requirements
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe.
* Solid understanding of web design principles including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
* Can do attitude for problem solving and willingness for collaborative teamwork.
* The role will require flexibility of working hours to deal with seasonal workload, there will periodically be early starts and late finishes and occasional weekend hours.
* You will mainly work in a studio. You may spend a lot of your time sat at a computer
The standard hours for this role is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:30-17:00.
