Job Description: This role is ideally starting ASAP, but the client can wait up to 4 weeks for the right candidate if a notice period is required.
Day rate is £330.
The role is inside IR35 (must use an Umbrella company).
Hybrid role: 3 days office-based in London and 2 days WFH.
This conceptual Art Director will work in a team responsible for developing global editorial content. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for music with a thorough understanding of music visual culture. Responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with internal/external partners and ensuring work meets standards. You will maintain momentum around creative concepts and develop big ideas, articulating them effectively to partners. Cross-functional relationship building is essential to ensure alignment on deliverables and creative direction. The goal is to develop well-conceived creative work that aligns with the business strategy, focusing on design in the music and product space.
Key Qualifications Design concept through to implementation.
Ability to present persuasively and articulate design rationale.
Typographic flair, design system, graphic design, and art direction skills.
Experience handling multiple creative and campaign types simultaneously.
Deep understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and motion graphics.
Ability to tell stories across platforms that drive engagement, with a pulse on trends and content design.
Strong cross-functional relationship skills in fast-paced environments.
Understanding of digital asset management, file organization, and collaboration.
Experience working with and scaling brands; developing content strategies is a plus.
Proven ability to create compelling campaign creative for marketing or editorial.
Proficiency in digital, social, and on-product design, adhering to top-tier standards.
Experience delivering big ideas for subscription businesses is advantageous.
International experience or working with global teams preferred.
Design experience for multiple cultures and languages is ideal.
Experience collaborating directly with talent and creators on campaigns.
Additional Requirements A robust portfolio showcasing top-tier creative work for on-platform campaigns or marketing is required.
