In this role, you will work closely with Amazon's Last Mile transportation businesses to build strategic initiatives and frameworks that support carrier partners in meeting legal and contractual obligations related to business practices, driver/provider eligibility, and safety standards. You will apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, communicate findings to senior leadership, and partner with cross-functional teams to design workflows supporting risk-reduction activities. Collaboration with stakeholders from safety, legal, finance, tech, and HR is essential to implement world-class, customer-centric compliance and risk management solutions.
This position requires periodic travel.
The Audit & Compliance Manager will set program objectives, establish success metrics, and drive business changes to reduce risk. Responsibilities include overseeing inspection activities, consulting with carrier partners on corrective actions, and working with various teams to implement compliance and risk solutions.
About the team
Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) manages risks across Amazon's transportation operations in 16 regions. We identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring compliance with transportation, legal, legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards. Our expertise, processes, and technology solutions help improve safety and support business growth.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Experience in compliance, legal, governance, audit, risk, or related fields
* Experience handling confidential information
Skills
* Ability to define, develop, and implement risk programs with measurable metrics
* Project management skills to lead initiatives to completion
* Strong partnership-building skills for tactical and strategic projects
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Problem-solving skills using data and insights
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SQL and Excel
* Experience in defining program requirements and leveraging data for improvements
