We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to take charge of the logistics involved in decommissioning and transporting IT equipment from client sites to our processing facilities. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure that all assets are moved securely, efficiently, and in full compliance with data protection and environmental regulations. Collaborating closely with the Service Delivery team, you'll optimise transport operations from collection through to final delivery, helping our clients meet sustainability goals while maintaining the highest standards of security and service.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling:
* Planning collections UK, ROI & EU
* Factor in drivers' hours and WTD
* Booking ferry crossings as required
* Advising warehouse of forecast for empty cages needed
* Contacting customers to give them confirmed collection date
Compliance:
* Booking company vehicles MOTs/Service
* Booking LOLER/LEV/Shredder & Hydraulic service
* Updating drivers' licences & CPC training
* Repairing and closing off live defects
* Ensuring daily checks completed
* NI/ ROI Waste management
* Motia GPS tracking and onboard cameras
Customs:
* TSS/GMR entries
* TSS supplementary declarations to close off
* EU customs - ad hoc
* Commercial invoice creation
The above is not exhaustive and the postholder may be expected to undertake different duties, in line with business needs.
Essential Criteria
1. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure seamless teamwork and coordination.
3. Adaptability and resilience under pressure, with the ability to prioritise workload in response to changing demands.
4. Competent in the use of computers and standard office software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience in a Transport / Haulage business traffic office.
2. Experience with driver's tachograph hours and WTD.
