We are recruiting a dietitian to join our multidisciplinary nutrition support team (NST) comprising of nutrition nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, medics and supported by dietetic colleagues, specialist vascular access teams, community home PN providers, dedicated aseptic compounding unit and NST admin colleagues. You will provide care to patients on PN in hospital and on home PN, working within an integrated IF care team, and providing cover for the intestinal transplant dietitian and team lead. We are looking for a new colleague who can contribute to supervision and management of team dietetic colleagues and some past experience of this would be welcomed. Responsibilities

To be responsible, in collaboration with members of the Intestinal Failure and transplant team and dietetic Team lead, for the development and provision of a highly specialist, evidence based dietetic service to the patients treated with Intestinal Failure (IF) at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT). This comprises the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals, Oxford. This involves working as an integral member of both the Dietetic team and multidisciplinary teams to provide a flexible, prioritised, highly acute service.

Along with the Service Manager and Team Lead, to be responsible for parenteral nutrition dietetic service development trust wide. Provide annual leave and other cover arrangements for NST dietitians. To cover leadership responsibilities of the Team Lead when required. Initiate, lead and participate in audits, service development and research within own clinical area. Participate in Governance activities and meetings within nutrition team and the Dietetics Department. Act as a source of expertise and clinical support for dietetic, nursing, and medical colleagues locally and nationally regarding the nutritional management of IF patients. Educate, train, supervise and disseminate information to healthcare professionals including clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals, dietetic colleagues and students about the dietetic management of IF patients. Clinically supervise, mentor, manage and develop Band 6 and Band 5 Dietitians.
