This role is located at the Tarmac Hillwood Asphalt Plant in Newbridge, near Edinburgh, and is easily accessible from Dunfermline, Grangemouth, Kirkcaldy, Stirling, Dalkeith and surrounding areas.
Main Responsibilities
* Operate fixed and mobile plants
* Perform administrative and compliance duties
* Use computer systems, including Excel and similar platforms
* Carry out housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team
* Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures, encouraging others to do so
* Supervise a team of Operators and Fitters across both the rail head and asphalt plant
* Work regularly on weekends
* Collaborate with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant operates at expected capacity and aligns with the manufacturing and production programme
The Ideal Candidate
* Have loading shovel and processing plant operational experience
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills
* Be able to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels across Tarmac and CRH business units
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team, motivating yourself and your team to meet site production requirements
* Be IT literate – able to use the Microsoft suite and our in-house CRM computer system
* Be flexible in their working approach
* Inspire yourself and your team to progress both personally and professionally
* Supervisory experience is essential; experience in asphalt plants or quarrying is preferred but not required – full training will be provided
