The Role
Execute inspection and Quality Control activities on site, whether performed by subcontractors or direct hires. Collect relevant records, ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.
Ensure that all instrumentation, automation, and telecommunications equipment/systems construction and installation activities are executed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and company procedures, including Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site following the Quality Control Plan and relevant procedures, issuing quality records.
2. Issue quality records and support non-conformance reports.
3. Check cable laying and cable identification.
4. Perform all relevant loop checks.
5. Update as-built drawings.
6. Conduct visual inspections, dimensional tests, check ratings and materials for connections.
7. Perform tests of continuity and insulation resistance.
8. Calibrate safety valves and instruments.
9. Check installation of instruments and perform functional tests.
10. Check pneumatic signal connections and fiber optic cables.
11. Test communication functionalities.
12. Verify special processes and worker qualifications.
13. Coordinate activities with the supervisor and field engineers.
14. Coordinate instrumentation quality control with other construction departments.
15. Ensure correct implementation of Inspection Test Plans, witness tests, controls, and inspections.
16. Check conformity with Quality Control Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, managing related documentation.
17. Review quality records for traceability and mechanical completion documentation.
18. Manage and verify documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections, ensuring proper retrieval for the final dossier.
19. For subcontractor activities, ensure implementation of approved Quality Control Plans and witness inspections.
What We’re Looking For
* Saudi ARAMCO CBT in Electrical and Instrumentation.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in the Oil and Gas Industry.
* Ability to inspect complete loop checking, wiring continuity, color coding, start-up, and troubleshooting.
* Ability to evaluate Factory Acceptance Tests and demonstrate knowledge of international codes and standards related to instrumentation such as DCS, SCADA, RTU, and ESD systems.
