MRI Assistant Practitioner

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Assistant Practitioner to join the team at Pinehill Hospital, working under the guidance of a qualified Radiographer. The successful candidate will participate in the MRI rota undertaking work within the department when required, including weekend work.

Duties will include
1. To perform basic MRI examinations
2. Assist radiographers by preparing rooms, equipment and patients prior to imaging examinations where necessary
3. To carry out all diagnostic procedures to the highest possible standard in line with departmental protocols and procedures
4. To report equipment faults to the supervising radiographer and take appropriate action
5. Understand and observe the principles of MRI safety and participate in the associated QA programmes
6. Undertake daily and monthly checks of the equipment and record this
7. Assist in departmental audits
8. Demonstrate a high level of communication skills and empathy when dealing with patients and other staff members
9. Maintain appropriate levels of stock and order stock in line with departmental policy
10. To promote total quality care for patients
What you'll bring with you
11. Experience working as an Assistant Practitioner in a MRI facility is essential
12. Knowledge of RIS and PACS
13. IV cannulation training (desirable)
