A leading renewables consultancy is undergoing a significant transformation and seeks a
results-driven and dynamic CTO
to play a pivotal role in defining and delivering cutting-edge technology and data strategies. This position is critical to improving productivity, enhancing customer experience, and driving ambitious growth targets.
About the Role
This is a strategic leadership position partnering across the Executive Committee to transform business performance. The successful CTO will have experience scaling a fast-growing business, balancing visionary technology strategy with a hands-on approach to innovation and delivery. You will be accountable for the successful execution of the technology roadmap, transformation projects, and the day-to-day smooth running of all systems.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure and IT Management
* Manage and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure technology infrastructure.
* Oversee internal IT support and ensure best-in-class cybersecurity standards.
Development Processes
* Optimize software development processes, managing timelines, resources, and cross-team collaboration.
Vendor and Partner Management
* Lead partner and vendor relationships to ensure service quality and alignment with business objectives.
Leadership
* Lead the technology function, develop talent, and foster a culture of 'right first time' and continuous improvement.
* Build strong relationships across the business and lead company-wide change initiatives including PMO, process, and data management teams.
Strategic Technology Planning
* Align technology initiatives with short, medium, and long-term business goals.
* Define and deliver a comprehensive technology roadmap encompassing systems, data, and process improvements.
Automation and Productisation
* Drive the evolution of customer-facing digital platforms into core service offerings.
* Leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to differentiate customer experience and automate manual processes for scalability and quality improvement.
Candidate Profile
* Established CTO or Technology Director with hands-on experience in mid-sized services and technology businesses.
* Proven track record driving positive change to enhance growth, productivity, and profitability.
* Strong commercial acumen with a collaborative leadership style, comfortable operating beyond the technology function.
* Adept at forming and executing advanced technical visions coupled with high-level strategic thinking.
* Experienced in leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions and deliver results in fast-paced growth environments.

* Base salary up to £160,000
* Total compensation circa £250,000
