This is a senior position with responsibility for international assets (UK, Switzerland and USA). The individual needs to be able to demonstrate clear leadership and an innovative approach to all security matters, including in‑depth relevant management experience with desirable subject matter expertise in the pharmaceutical industry or frontier technology. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain exceptional customer service standards and a commitment to continuous improvement. There will be international travel involved as part of the role.
About the Role
As a Security Operations Lead, you will be responsible for:
* Advising the client and account lead on all matters of security, including the review and writing of security policies and procedures.
* Understanding the client's core business activities to ensure the security team delivers the most effective solution.
* Ensuring that, when incidents occur, deployed teams respond in accordance with associated policies and procedures and post‑incident reviews are conducted to limit repeat occurrence and strengthen understanding.
* Liaising with line manager and client stakeholder to ensure effective and open communication of all matters pertaining to the delivery of a professional security service.
* Ensuring appropriate training (derived from both internal and external courses) is delivered to individual staff in accordance with their rank, responsibilities and identified training and development needs.
* Establishing and managing a security team that is well‑turned‑out, motivated, well‑informed, focused and clear about its role and objectives.
* Acting as the first‑line response for any and all incidents – fire, security and health & safety – and managing them in accordance with the specific related procedure.

What We Are Looking For
* Highly developed interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.
* Ability to adapt rapidly to different account lead and client requirements.
* Proven management experience working in a high‑profile environment.
* Ability to demonstrate achievement of exceptional customer service standards.
* A flair for problem solving and multitasking.
* Assertive and persuasive.
* Good IT skills and competence with Google Suite, including a high degree of adoption of AI platforms.
* Hold a relevant management qualification (e.g. ILM 3/5, preferable) and proven experience in a senior security management position.
* SIA Licence holder.
