The Bird in Hand in North Curry, is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a love for creating high-quality, locally sourced food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar setting
* Deep knowledge of British cuisine and seasonal ingredients
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
* A team player with a passion for cooking and customer satisfaction
* Must be able to commute this is a live-out role
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
* Plan, develop, and deliver seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients
* Ensure all food is consistently prepared and presented to high standards
* Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
* Maintain high levels of hygiene, health, and safety compliance
* Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff (if applicable)
* Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
* Work closely with management to deliver an excellent customer experience
