Responsibilities Develop and deliver personalized learning plans based on the student's interests, abilities, and goals. Use multi-sensory and adaptive teaching methods to support engagement and understanding. Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals (e.g., therapists, SEN coordinators) to ensure consistency and holistic support. Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust strategies as needed. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued and understood. Essential Skills & Experience Experience supporting children or young people with complex or additional needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory impairments, medical needs). Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and individualised education plans (IEPs). Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with families and professionals. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to helping each learner reach their potential. Desirable Qualifications Teaching or tutoring qualification (QTS, SENCo, or equivalent). Training or certification in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), speech and language strategies, or positive behaviour support. Experience with assistive technology or alternative communication methods (AAC, PECS, etc.)
