We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join a key main contractor in Kent, producing accurate, competitive cost estimates for exciting projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, care and education.
Duties and responsibilities within the role include:
7. Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
8. Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to secure competitive pricing.
9. Works closely with the Design Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Contracts Managers to ensure accurate cost planning.
10. Assemble cost plans from concept through tender to handover to the Project Surveyors.
11. Monitor industry trends, pricing and supply chain factors which could impact project costs.
Who are we looking for?
12. Proven experience as a Estimator in main/principal contractor construction on single stage and two stage tenders.
13. Experienced in delivering projects in a relevant sector i.e. education, care and commercial
14. An Estimator with a working knowledge of NRM2 and SMM7.
15. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
16. Confident managing multiple tenders.
17. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
18. HND or Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a related field.
