Overview
A World Leading Energy Company is looking for a software QA and UAT tester with 2 to 4 years of experience. Ideally someone with good experience in ServiceNow, hands-on Azure DevOps and project delivery environments. A big part of the role is the ability to control releases by managing various lifecycle environments to ensure new releases are delivered smoothly with minimal delays to production.
Offering £300-£375 per day (Inside IR35). The role requires travel to the Central London office 2–3 days a week.
About the Role: We are seeking a Junior to Mid level skilled and detail-oriented QA and UAT Engineer to join this Energy Company's quality assurance team. You will be responsible for validating product features, executing test plans, and managing UAT cycles to ensure the delivery of high-quality supply chain software solutions. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer success, to maintain software excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
* Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles with internal stakeholders and end-users.
* Identify, document, and manage defects and enhancements using Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent ticketing systems.
* Work closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements and ensure feature testability.
* Analyse and validate results against expected outcomes, ensuring functional correctness and usability.
* Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, traceability matrices, and summary reports.
* Provide training and support during UAT phases, ensuring testers understand the business context.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 2 to 4 years of experience in software QA and UAT testing, preferably in ServiceNow platform.
* Commitment to ownership and excellence in execution and collaborative team member.
* Strong knowledge of ServiceNow basics, Custom Application concept and Legal Service Delivery module.
* Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
* Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps board, ServiceNow, or similar issue tracking/test management tools.
* Proficiency in creating and executing manual test cases and UAT scripts.
* Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage testing for multiple projects.
* Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
