Technician / Instructor – Multi Skills (Construction) Full-time | Permanent | £24,758 per annum Based at Poole (North Road & Fulcrum Campuses) Shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople We're looking for a passionate and practical Technician / Instructor – Multi Skills to join our Construction team at Bournemouth & Poole College. If you've got hands-on experience in carpentry, multi-skills, or wet trades, and enjoy sharing your knowledge in a workshop environment, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop a role in education. You will be employed through Southern Educational Professional Services Ltd, a subsidiary of Bournemouth & Poole College. About the role You'll play a key role in supporting both students and teaching staff by ensuring workshops run smoothly, safely, and effectively. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for practical sessions Maintaining and repairing workshop equipment to a high standard Managing stock, ordering materials, and ensuring cost efficiency Supporting practical demonstrations and student learning Ensuring workshops meet all health & safety standards (including COSHH) Keeping workshop environments organised, safe, and industry-relevant About you We're looking for someone who is: Level 2 (or equivalent) English & Maths Experienced in a workshop or construction environment Knowledgeable about tools, materials, and industry practices Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills Passionate about safe working practices Supportive, patient, and keen to help learners succeed Willing to gain a teaching qualification Working at Bournemouth and Poole College More than just a job.
