Data Center Technical Operations Engineer – Location: London (5 days on-site required)
Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of data centre operations? Join our dynamic team as a Data centre Technical Operations Engineer I. This role is part of the backbone of cloud technology, ensuring data centres run smoothly and efficiently with high uptime.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events, adhering to internal SLAs.
* Conduct limited maintenance tasks, including filtration changes, HVAC preventative maintenance, and rack power installations.
* Provide essential support to Data centre Operations technicians.
* Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures to drive continuous improvement.
* Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine inspections.
* Manage building workflows and spare part inventory using the internal CMMS.
* Supervise contractors during servicing or preventive maintenance tasks.
* Respond to emergency calls during off-hours as part of an on-call rotation.
* Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and security policies.

What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications
* City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) or core electrical competencies and theory.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in data centre engineering operations.
