A well-established business in Birmingham is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join its skilled maintenance and engineering team. It's Monday to Friday, regular days. This is an excellent role for someone who combines technical expertise with strong communication and project skills. Youll work on a range of engineering challenges, helping to keep production running smoothly and reliably. What Youll Be Doing: Deliver hands-on engineering support and guidance across the production facility Design and develop engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations Oversee project budgets, review supplier proposals, and contribute to cost-effective decision-making Investigate faults and recurring issues, finding long-term solutions to improve equipment reliability Provide coaching and technical support to colleagues in the maintenance team Plan and coordinate work during scheduled shutdowns to optimise plant performance Draft technical specifications and manage projects through all stagesfrom concept to installation Evaluate technical drawings and ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference Work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to achieve project goals Promote a strong safety culture and uphold high environmental and health standards Drive continuous improvement and look for opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime About You: HNC/HND (ideally Degree) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Background working in manufacturing, production, or heavy industry settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging at all levels Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office tools Analytical mindset, able to tackle complex engineering challenges Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven Experience leading teams or projects would be an advantage Bonus Points If You Have: Knowledge of heavy industrial processes and high-speed manufacturing equipment Experience managing engineering installations from design through to commissioning A history of driving improvements within engineering or maintenance operations Why Join?
