We have an opportunity for an Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. This is a role for someone who is commercially sharp, detail-focused, and ready to take ownership of estimating across a wide range of fire protection systems.
The Role
* Estimate different fire protection systems from supplied CAD drawings, specifications, or equivalent documentation
* Assist in compiling tender submissions to a high standard and on time
* Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to gain competitive pricing
* Coordinate workload and manage individual deadlines, holding colleagues accountable to agreed work programmes
* Support the sales team to maximise sales efficiency and success
* Travel to site to carry out surveys as required
* Develop processes and procedures to improve customer experience and department efficiency
* Communicate with staff, customers, and the public via email and telephone
What We’re Looking For
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong communication, calculation, and literacy skills
* Good time management and the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines under pressure
* Willingness to learn, act with integrity, and work as a team player
* Confidence making outgoing calls to suppliers and clients
* Full UK driving licence
