Job Title: MO - Facility Services Operator
Location: York
Contract Details: Temporary, 6 months
Salary: From £13.19 per hour plus 150% OT

Responsibilities
As a Facility Services Operator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness of rolling stock at designated locations. Key duties include:
* Cleaning allocated rolling stock according to the production schedule
* Performing external cleaning of trains manually
* Using brushes or compressed air for driveline systems
* Assisting with fuelling, tanking, and the operation of Controlled Emission Toilets (CET)
* Reporting any defects to the Supervisor
* Following site-specific cleaning guidelines for underframes
* Collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience)
* Strong communication skills in basic English
* Knowledge of Health and Safety practises, including COSHH
* Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals
* Ability to work effectively in small teams
* Willingness to be on your feet for most of the shift
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience)
* Experience in a cleaning or facility services role
* Previous exposure to transport or logistics environments
Technologies
* Understanding of cleaning equipment and safety protocols
* Familiarity with basic operational procedures in facility maintenance
