Job Description:
Our Residential team is one of the largest of its kind. We support our clients on projects across the Living Sector, acting for PLC, regional, and SME house builders; registered providers of affordable housing; land promoters; and PRS investors & developers in residential and residential-led mixed-use developments.
We now have a new opportunity for a Lawyer to join our Southampton office.
What will you be doing?
We are experiencing growth in this sector. You will join a high-profile team with exposure to high-value development work, including conditional contracts and transfers, conditional options, advising on rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements, and development agreements, focusing on residential development and investment projects.
You will have opportunities for client contact and building strong relationships. Business development is also key; you will contribute by organizing and attending client events, writing articles, and participating in marketing activities.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
This role offers the chance to work with a talented residential team invested in your career development. You should have experience in residential development work from a large regional or city firm, enthusiasm for this area of law, and understanding of our services.
You will be part of a growing, busy team delivering some of the UK's most exciting residential developments for top clients. The work is fast-paced and challenging but collaborative and enjoyable.
Minimum requirements:
* You must be a qualified (England & Wales) Solicitor.
* Knowledge of the UK living sector, with expertise in house-building and/or strategic land (experience in build-to-rent and affordable housing is a plus but not essential).
* Experience managing existing client relationships.
