As a TSU Driver you will ensure adherence to Defence Policy and Governance, and will be responsible for transporting MOD personnel in cars, Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs), or minibuses to different locations across the UK, which can involve overnight stays. Key responsibilities: Conducting driven jobs as tasked by transport clerks in accordance with driver hours regulations. Delivering Driver Awareness Training on the vehicles held at the Transport Unit, direct to MOD personnel, providing certification. Full in-house training will be given. Conducting first line vehicle maintenance and cleanliness of allocated staff car and TSU fleet vehicles. Duties as reasonably required commensurate with the grade. Person specification Essential skills required: Licences: Category B, you must not have any pending driving disqualifications A proficient driver, with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail Excellent time management skills Flexibility with an ability to prioritise Can work independently and within a team. Upon your appointment, it is crucial that you obtain a category D1 licence within the first 12 months of your employment. All expenses related to acquiring your D1 Licence will be funded by the MOD. Things you need to know Selection process details This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours and Experience.
