We are now seeking an exceptional Managing Director to lead our Staffing Solutions portfolio and drive the next phase of growth for Jane Lewis, our specialist healthcare staffing business. About the Role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance and commercial success of Jane Lewis. This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for delivering high-quality staffing solutions both across Active Care Group and to external healthcare clients, including NHS Trusts and independent sector providers. You will lead the continued evolution of Jane Lewis, strengthening our market position, expanding our external client base, and supporting Active Care Group's ambition to reduce agency reliance through the growth of our internal workforce solutions and Active Bank. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will combine commercial leadership with a passion for quality, ensuring staffing solutions contribute directly to exceptional care outcomes across the Group and beyond. Full-time 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday Remote with travel associated to the needs of the role What you'll be doing: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Staffing Solutions portfolio. Lead and develop the Jane Lewis team, ensuring the structure, capability and culture are aligned to support future growth. Hold full accountability for financial performance, including delivery of revenue, profitability and budget targets. Drive the growth of Jane Lewis as a leading healthcare staffing provider across NHS and independent healthcare markets. Support Active Care Group's workforce strategy through the expansion and optimisation of Active Bank and internal staffing solutions. Build strong partnerships with operational leaders, site teams and support functions to deliver workforce objectives across the Group. Lead business development activity, including framework opportunities, tender submissions and new client acquisition. Ensure exceptional service delivery and workforce solutions for both internal and external customers. Oversee quality, governance and regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement and best practice. Champion a culture of collaboration, learning, accountability and continuous improvement. Strengthen the Jane Lewis brand and reputation within the healthcare staffing sector. Promote and embed Active Care Group's Leadership Principles, values and behaviours across the business. What we would like from you: You will be an experienced and commercially astute leader with a track record of delivering growth, leading high-performing teams and operating successfully within complex healthcare or staffing environments. You will bring: Significant senior leadership experience (5years) within healthcare staffing & workforce solutions. Proven experience managing a P&L and delivering sustainable commercial growth. Experience leading staffing, recruitment or workforce operations in a highly regulated environment. Strong understanding of NHS and independent healthcare markets. Experience securing and managing framework agreements, tenders and strategic client relationships. A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on coaching, development and engagement. A commitment to quality, governance and delivering safe, effective services. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and balance multiple priorities effectively.
