A client within the Public Sector, based in North Lincolnshire, is currently recruiting for a Major Infrastructure Projects Delivery Officer to join their Economy & Growth Team as soon as possible.
The client is offering a part-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an economy, planning or infrastructure project–delivery environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To support the delivery of transformational growth and major infrastructure projects across North Lincolnshire, including oversight of multi-agency programmes, direct project management responsibility, and contributing to the council’s response to energy-related Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing and delivering a range of capital, infrastructure and inward-investment projects aligned to the council’s priorities and carbon-neutral ambitions.
• Leading the council’s involvement in energy-related NSIPs, including managing consultants and coordinating formal responses.
• Working with business groups, inward investors and partners to develop and implement green-energy and growth-focused projects.
• Preparing business cases, procurement specifications, project documentation and managing associated budgets.
• Providing leadership, guidance and line management to project staff and supporting effective multi-agency partnership working.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A degree or diploma in Planning or a related subject (RTPI accredited or eligible).
• Proven experience in project development, project management and delivering capital or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning legislation, NSIPs, local government processes and capital-funding mechanisms.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience managing consultancy contracts and multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of GIS, specialist planning software, or Microsoft applications.
• Budget management, complex report writing and stakeholder negotiation skills.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £27 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £20 per hour PAYE).
